About us
We have been providing exceptional care in East Yorkshire for over 40 years. In 1985, founder Anne Murrey turned her passion for delivering top-quality care into reality with the opening of Murreyfield House, our first care home. This same commitment continued with the launch of Cassandra House in 1991, led by Anne's daughter, Carol Murrey.
Today, the care home remains family-owned and is guided by a strong leadership team. In 2024, Cassie, Carol’s daughter, joined to help uphold our core family values, ensuring respect, dignity, and safety are always prioritized.
With this foundation and our dedicated team, we are proud to offer our residents the highest quality of life, where they feel valued, secure, and content. We believe that family values and strong teamwork are key to our success. By blending person-centered care with our core family values, we ensure that those who choose our home truly feel like part of our family.

We work closely with healthcare professionals to develop a personalised care plan that goes beyond medical needs, but also considering personal preferences and life experiences to ensure each resident feels comfortable and at home.

We use digital platforms to communicate policies, implement training, and maintain records. With our procedures, regular audits, supervisions, and feedback surveys we can confidently ensure that both our staff and clients are safe, supported, and happy.
Home Cooked Food
We offer homemade, nutritionally balanced meals prepared on-site by our skilled chefs.
Our varied menus are created in collaboration with our residents, and you can enjoy your meals in our café-style dining area or in the comfort of your own room.
Our Accommodation
Our rooms at Cassandra House are cosy and beautifully furnished. Each with a wall-mounted flat-screen TV, a café-style dining area, and a peaceful internal courtyard.
We create a lively and engaging atmosphere with spaces designed for relaxation, socializing, and fun activities. Choose to enjoy one of our four individual lounges, our cafe style dining area or beautiful courtyard when the sun is shining.
Additional Services
Clients may also experience our in-house hairdresser and beauty salon. Regular visits from an externally sourced podiatrist and optometrist are available.
If needed and medically appropriate, visits from the community nursing team can also be arranged.
